"Hi. Welcome back to Expert Village. We're learning all about scrapbooking. We have already cut the layout, basic layout, the page. We put on a little sideboard, got a little sticker, and, now what are we ready to do? Well, we've book looking at our photos and how we're going to put them on the page, and we're going to keep some ideas in mind about balance, symmetry and clustering. One thing here is if, actually, Grace, if we put this down here, we've got the one little picture down there and we got theses two ones up here. The layout looks a little top-heavy. Mmhm. So that's when you're just looking at the idea of symmetry and wanting things to be balanced and sort of pleasing to the eye. So let's switch these; put them down here like that, move your horizontal photo up here, and you've got a little bit more balance. It looks a little bit better. We're also looking at the idea of clustering. This works for photos, as well as embellishments, but you want to put things on generally in odd groups. Threes, five, seven, nine; that sort of thing, because if you're trying to look sporadic and you have an even number, it's not sporadic any more. Oh, ok. So those are some ideas to keep in mind. You want to keep things sort of balanced; evenly spaced out. Just remember, you should look at it and think, "Ok, I like this", instead of having it creep you out. It should be pleasing to the eye. Exactly. Great. So, what are we learning next? We are going to look at one final guideline, which is looking at your layout as a grid. Oh. That's coming up next."
