"Hi. Welcome back to Expert Village. We're learning all about scrapbooking with my guest, Sonya Shepherd from The Crop Circle. And now we're going to play a little bit with layouts. Layouts, right. People always ask me, "What's your secret trick to layouts?" And really, you've just got to play around with it. You've got to get your photos on the page. Play around with it and see what works. So, again, without adhesive, you're just going to put things around the paper and see how they go. You want to still keep in mind what your main focus of your layout is. Those are sort of some nice complementary photos together. This one up here has another flower shot, so maybe those two work well with each other. You want to take the ones that you have and really figure out how you're going to make space for them. Ok. Another idea, let's take this page off. Again, we're remembering that we've got two pages to work with. We could look at laying things out in a little bit of a, on a little grid here. Like, superimpose these? Yes, superimpose them, layer them a little bit. Really, you're just playing around right now. You're getting an idea for how it looks on the page. You're remembering that you can crop your photos if you need more space. You can add embellishments if you have any empty spots. You're sort of remembering, keeping all of these things in mind. And you're just playing around and looking at what looks best. Do you kind of envision what you want on it, as far as the ornaments and the little details? Yeah. You do, right? You do. You think that you've got that in, you have that in the back of your mind; you are thinking about it. But again, you are thinking "How do I get as many photos on this page as possible?" To save money. Exactly! To save money and save time. If you find yourself stuck, wipe the slate clean and start over again. Just don't be afraid to play around with different combinations. Fantastic! So, what are we going to learn next? We're going to start gluing things down. Oh fun. I know. Now we're talking. I thought you'd never get to it. Yes, I thought you'd never ask. That's great. Well, that's coming up next, so stay tuned."
