" Welcome back to Expert Village. With arts and crafts and everything fun. Today it's all about scrap booking; how to compose a layout. And my guest Sonja Sheppard from the Crop Circle will explain some details and something that we need to learn about scrap booking. Absolutely! Grace, we have a lot of different prints, lots of different papers to choose from in scrap booking, and sometimes, it gets a little overwhelming because you think, "how do I match these all up, how do I make it work?" And so we're going to look at some different ways, some do's and don'ts for matching up your papers. Great! So I've got this great lay out here. You can just hold up one of those pages. This is from the Pizzazo collection from Creative Memories. And it's a great collection of papers that are all the same color, different prints that have been screen printed on there and we can actually match the swirls, the harlequins, the stripes, by just creating a little bit of definition on the photo. So here I'm using basically 3 different prints but I did some detail edging here with the distress ink that kind of creates a little bit of a pop border, as well as the fabric here that creates a little bit of separation. So that when you put a photo on the layout, it still is going to look pretty nice. Oh, how neat! That'll fit in there, like that. And you just don't even glue it, you just do this. I'm sure you have to crop it a little bit. Just crop it a little bit, make sure it's the right size and you fit it in there. And all of these pieces all match together, it makes it really easy to mix your patterns. Again, you just want to make sure your creating a little bit of definition there so that not everything is blending together. And then we have a great line of papers from Tresholee. It's a really nice, different polka dots, as well as some stripes. And do these, are these, like whole sheets that you cut? These are whole sheets that you can cut down and you really can; what's nice about Tresholee is they've made their papers double sided so if you flip these around you have the coordinating solids on the back. It takes all of your guess work out of there for you. And then they created, stickers, and all sorts of really fun embellishments that match, so you can be really confident picking from this collection that you make a layout with your pages. Can I? Absolutely! Look at this! How neat! We're going to pull some of these off. Really? Yes, we're going to create a scrapbook with them. So what I want you to do is, we're going to, I guess we can pull this off. OK. And we can use it to adhere to that side. Nice, look at that! That looks great! Thank you. Wonderful! So that's what we're going to do next? That's what we're going to do next, we're going to build a layout using the Tresholee. Fantastic! Well you need to stay tuned for that now."
