"Hi. Welcome back to Expert Village. I'm your host, Grace Fraga, with Fraga Framing and Art Gallery. And I'm here with my guest, Sonya Shepherd, from The Crop Circle. And she's teaching us how to salvage your old photo albums. So, what is up next? Well, Grace, now we've gotten the photos out of our album. We've done the hard work. We need to make sure we know who these people are. Especially with the older photos. I can't tell you how many boxes of photos I have that I have absolutely no idea who the people in the photos are. In your own photo collection. In my own photo collection, from my own family. That's crazy. So, it's sort a race against time right now to find out who everybody is. Ok. Now, your natural inclination when you see a photo and you want to remember who it is, is to write the information on the back. That's ok, as long as you do it the correct way. The things that you do not want to use are ball point pen. Why is that? It's going to impress whatever you write onto the other side of your photo. You don't want that. You don't want that. That's going to destroy your photo. You definitely don't want a Sharpie marker. I love Sharpies. But not for this. They are not good for scrapbooking. They are not photo safe. They are just... Bad news. Don't use them. We love Sharpies for other things, but not for scrapbooking. You really don't want to mess around with any kind of marker or pen because you just don't know if they are going to bleed through. And, honestly, why take the risk? Exactly. What you do want to use is, you want to use a grease pencil. These generally come in a really nice blue, and it's a soft pencil, and it's really great for doing the marking. And you'll be able to write right on the back of your photo without any problem whatsoever. Billy Joe 1947. I like that. Billy Joe 1947. And we now know exactly who is in this photo and where to scrapbook it. Great. Thank you. You're welcome. And so, what is coming up next? Well, next we're going to look at other options for salvaging your old scrapbook. What to do once you've gotten the pictures out of book. Where to put them, and how to go on from there. Great. This is a whole science. A whole science to it. Incredible. Wow. Who knew. Who knew. So, that's coming up next."
