"Grace: Hi, welcome back to Expert Village. You're watching "Art and Crafts and Everything Fun." And we're learning all about embellishing our scrapbook, with my guest, Sonya Shepherd from The Crop Circle. Sonya: Hi. Grace: Hi. Sonya: Ok, so we're going to do some rubber stamping now, and, actually, I take that back. We're not rubber stamping. We're acrylic stamping. Grace: Oh. So what's the difference between them? Sonya: Well, the difference is the rubber stamps, you know, they're on a wood block. You can't see what you're doing. It's sort of a little bit of a guessing game. Personally, I've never been much of a rubber stamper for that reason. The clear acrylic stamps are really wonderful, because what you do is you open up the package, first of all. Grace: That takes some nails. Sonya: It takes a little bit of nails, a little bit of effort, especially when you're...Ok, there we go. Grace: There you go. How fun. Look at the different shapes. Sonya: These are really fun. And basically, you can see through them. Grace: Ok, so what is the next step? Sonya: Ok, you peel one of these off there, Grace. Grace: Alright, let's peel this one off. Sonya: And go ahead and put it on our clear acrylic block. It sticks to it. There's no adhesive. It's just some sort of physics static cling thing. I don't get it. Grace: It's weird. Sonya: It just works. And it comes off, and you put it back, and you're done. Grace: That's amazing. Sonya: Ok? We can also use our distress ink as the ink for the stamping, so you just go ahead and ink it like you would a regular stamp. Grace: Ok. Let's see. And probably just do this? Sonya: Uh-huh. Give it a little rub. Grace: Ok. Did it get there? Sonya: That looks good. And you can...there's probably room on this red tag if we stamp a little frame there. Grace: Ooh, wow! Look how cool. Sonya: It's really nice because you can see exactly what you're doing and where you're going with it. Grace: Absolutely. And what I just noticed is that you can see the shape that's going to come out here on the paper just by looking at the other side of the stamp, of the packaging. Sonya: Of the packaging. Grace: So, you see. It's great. Sonya: They're really handy. Grace: Very good. This is fun. So you have all kinds of shapes and, for this big one, you'd need a bigger acrylic... Sonya: You'd need a bigger acrylic block. Yeah, you can actually get blocks that are twelve inches, which is the same size as your layout, and you can lay them all out at one time. Grace: Fantastic. Sonya: It's a lot of fun. Grace: So, yeah, use these because they're a lot of fun. So, we're getting busy. Our little page is getting busy. Sonya: Filling up with embellishments. Grace: That's great. So what's coming up next? Sonya: We're going to add some sparkle to our layout. Grace: Ooh, my favorite. Let's bling it. Sonya: Yep, coming up next. Grace: Yeah, baby. This is cool. I love this. Sonya: Yeah, they're great."
