"Hi. Welcome back to Expert Village. I'm your host, Grace Fraga, with "Arts and Crafts and Everything Fun." And I'm here with Sonya Shepherd from The Crop Circle. She's teaching us how to salvage your old photo album. That's right. We've already covered some ways of loosening the adhesive and taking those photos out. Now, if all else fails, you're going to get the photos out in a different way, and that's to crop around your photos. Or, to put it simpler, to cut around your photos. How do we do that? Especially when the material is so thick? Well, that material is pretty thick. What you can do is, you can use your trimmer. You can use your paper trimmer, or you can use a pair of scissors. But, you do want to make sure there is nothing behind your photos when you're doing that, because you obviously don't want to ruin something else to save the other. Absolutely. But, here we've found a photo and so we're just going to isolate it here, and begin to cut. And what we're doing here, is we're going to be able to get it out of the larger amount of paper that's so deteriorating and see if there's something else we can do with it once we've taken it out of this book. Great. But still, even if you salvage it, you still have the picture on this non acid-free material. Exactly. So the next step I'm going to show you is how to neutralize the acid in this material. Great. So I'm stepping ahead, right. All right. No problem. You're just thinking. You're thinking in the future. It's important. Ok. Well, thank you. So you cut around it. You cut around it, and you're ready to go for the next step. Wonderful. So, we're going to learn how to neutralize the acid from the old photo album page next. From the old photo album. So stay tuned. "
