"Hi. Wecome back to Expert Village. Today, we're learning how to scrapbook. And now, my guest, Sonja, is going to tell us why trimmer trumps scissors. That's right, Grace. Beginning scrapbookers have always seen the decorative scissors that do the fun edging. Yes. They'll cut the scalloped edges. You know, they're really a lot of fun, but every so often, you have to realign the scissors, that they get jammed up pretty easily, they dull really quickly, but this is one of the neatest, newest tools. It's called the paper trimming buddy. We can't, again, we're selling out of these so quickly at the store because it's such a novel idea. What it is, is it's a trimmer. It's a different type of trimmer than the one I showed you the previous episode, because it's a rotary blade. It will cut a straight edge, which covers your practical needs, but it also cuts a decorative edge, so what I'm going to do right now, I'm going to pop the cartridge, the decorative cartridge into the little egg timer dealy bob. That's what I think it looks like at least. The pinking cartridge. That goes in here like this. So you just put that little cartridge and that has different shapes. You have different shapes to different types. Correct, you have eight different blades. Great! That goes in here like this, and you give it a turn and then you're going to use it much like you would a regular trimmer. You lift up the guide slide it back down, you make a cut and you have your decorative edging. Nice. It's really a lot of fun, plus, the trimmer comes with a free hand tool. You take the same little egg timer out, plug it into your free hand tool. You want to be sure to use a craft mat because you don't want to mark up your surfaces and you can free hand cut your materials. Wow! Just like that. How nice. It's a lot of fun. That's a lot of fun! It's so much better than scissors because your'e always trying to be exact with them and it's just...regular scissors are difficult. This makes your life so much easier. So much easier, it's a lot of fun. That's great! And so, I can't wait to know what we're going to learn next. Well, we're going tolearn about other adhesive options because adhesive, one size does not fit all. There's different types of things you want to adhere, there's different types of adhesive, and it's really important to know which one you need for the project you're working on. Great. So, stay tuned for that."
