"So is comedy therapy for you? Oh yeah. You have been doing this for how many years now? About six. And you travel all over the United States? Yes, I do. As a matter of fact, I'm doing a show in Chicago "The Funniest Latinas." So it's very cool. You know I've done it full time for about three years. Because of the "chicken effect." That's another thing, for people that are gonna start out, is the fear factor. I think a lot of funny people don't do stand up because they're afraid of this. How do you address that? You just face it. You know fight or flee? You just have to bomb a lot (laughs) Well, you know what? You'd be surprised. I think it takes just doing it. When you do something and you keep doing it and doing it. I do really want to do it. I know you do. "No pain no gain" applies to stand-up comedy. You go through a lot of pain. And you know what? A lot of comedians that I've known are excellent in dramatic acting. Absolutely! Jim Carey is a very good dramatic actor. Because it's the other side of pain - pain, drama, comedy. Yep, there you go. That's a good point."
