"Hi, welcome to Expert Village. I am Gretchen Soares with Butterfly Boutique. Okay, we are going to lay this out on the work table and we are going to make sure the flaps are nice and flat and we are going to put a couple pins in them to hold them that way while we sew. We are going to put them mostly in the middle so that we don't catch it with the machine while we are sewing the flange. Then we are going to flip this so we are working from the top side. We made a four inch flange. So we are going to take the ruler, going to use the four inch mark and we are going to put a pin line on what would be four inch mark. This is going to give us a line or a guide to sew on. You want to make sure you have a good cross pin on the corner so you know exactly where your corner is going to fall. Figure out right where this seam is on the back side so that we can put a pin in. So that it holds its place as we are sewing, we are going to put a cross pin in it. Top and bottom. Okay, now we are ready to go back to the machine."
