"There are some basics that you might want to accomplish before you even start going into the handstand splits or things like that. For instance, the basic handstand. For basic handstand, it's the same sensation as doing the handstand splits, except your legs are just together in the air. You're going to extend then your right foot and keep your arms strong as a board as tight as they can be up there in the air. Just slowly reach yourself forward until your legs touch the ground and then your create a straight line making sure that you're not arching your back too much because an arched back will cause your feet to fall over. You almost want to achieve a hollow position, which a hollow position should feel like you're the canoe. You're the inside of a canoe with your arms up and your chin tucked in and your feet like that. Almost like a canoe if you looked at the inside. That's how you would accomplish your basic handstand and what that should feel like and how the position you should be correct. A great way to practice handstands is to go up against the wall because a wall is stationary. It's not moving or going anywhere unless you use one of those Hollywood walls that you're going to fall down or something. You can walk right up to the wall and just put your legs...and make sure you leave enough space for you to walk into it so that you're not going to harm yourself and then slowly walk your legs all the way up so that you're achieving that handstand and being able to feel what the positioning feels like. That's a great way to practice the handstand then be able to move onto other more hard maneuvers."
