"Now that you've accomplished the splits on the floor, it's time to step it to another level with the splits in the air. So for the splits in the air, you're going to use the basic strong arms. Almost like you're accomplishing a front walk over for you gymnast out there that know what that is. You're going to walk over to the side of your mat, put your arms up and extend them and slowly point your right foot or your left depending upon your flexibility. Some people prefer the left versus the right. I'm more of a right handed contortionist and a right handed person, so my right in the prominent foot for me. I'm going to go over to the right point my right foot again, and then slowly bring my legs over. When they're in the slit and I can feel a stable position. Using my hand again to suction me and keep my balance. My left leg is extending and then I slowly bring it down, walk my hands into my feet and then slowly come up. That's the splits in the air. Basically, it's a lot of muscle strength. once you've got the splits on the ground, it's not too hard to come by putting them in the air. Just using your strong arms and keeping your arms stiff as a board. Thank you very much. Those are splits in the air."
