" I am Heather McCanna on behalf of expertvillage.com and today I will be discussing card making basics. Specifically where to buy your supplies. There are many simple supplies that you may have lying around your own home. Such as basic construction paper which offer a great variety of color and also is very sturdy which is a very important factor in selecting paper in making cards with. Cause you don't want to want your paper to be so flimsy but it could not with stand the varies drawing, cutting ,and gluing that you would be doing to make your card. This could be found in many basics stores such as Wal-Mart and Target which may not specialize in are supplies but has a fairly decent of art and craft items. You can also use basic sketching paper which absorbs color well and is also fairly sturdy for making cards. This can be found in many basics art stores such as a Hobby Lobby or even a basic store such as a Wal-Mart. This is a more fancy paper which already have designs printed on it. As can see I already used it for certain arts and crafts items and cut out some of it which can be use for other projects later on. These would be found in certain aisles of specialty arts and crafts store such as a Hobby Lobby which is treasure trolls of items to make cards out of. These stores which specialize in arts and crafts are also great for finding the special items such as stickers to decorate your cards with. As we discuss before these are very often very important in tailoring your card to its special invite that you are making it for. So many of these items I purchase from specialty crafts stores which are always the best place to go when you are going to make a card. "
