How to Write Endings of Christmas Songs

"Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. When you are ending a song it is very important to choose a good closing. You can't just end a song and not have any closure to the song for example, the end of my song would sound like this. (singing) So two things that I did that are noticeable for a closing. The first thing is that I repeated a phrase three times, the last phrase "life is worth the living" I repeated three times, the reason is because it reminds people that you are going to the end of the song. And that you are solidifying the whole reason for the song with your last message there and you are repeating it to make sure that they understand what the message is. The second thing that you want to remember is closing slowly, at the end I actually slowed down and hit the last chord a little bit slower than the rest of the chords. That is another indication that you are ending your song."
