Music Structure of Christmas Songs

"Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. And the second verse I actually do rhyme "oh St. Nicholas your prayers are not in vein the children love the gifts you give and they all know your name. So I rhymed the second and the forth verse and that is actually very common thing to do when writing a song and it works really well for writing Christmas music also. So after you have found the phrases in the order that you want to put the phrases you want to actually create verses out of your phrases. Here I have actually written verse one, verse two, verse three and verse four, I would suggest that three or four verses but it is probably a good idea not to exceed four verses. Because if the song has two lengthy it could become monotness and people can get bored with that. Three or four verses of about four lines each and then you want to construct a chorus of about four lines. It is totally optional if you want to but sometimes it bridges a good idea to add a little bit of interest if the song is getting a little bit monotness. The bridge just kinds of takes the song in a different turn."
