How to Write Phrases for Christmas Songs

"Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. Another thing you want to do when preparing to write a Christmas song on your guitar is to make sure that you have different phrases that you like that you would want to include in your song. Phrases such as going out to play in the snow and perhaps mix snow angles, phrases that include going sledding with your friends. Phrases that include standing and looking at the Christmas tree and admiring the gifts, so what you want to do is to kind of map it out in a little story line of different phrases and themes you want to use throughout the song. So that you can relate them all together and eventually create verses, chords and a bridge out of it. But the first thing you want to do is come up with the information and the reason for writing your song, that is why it is best to just have some scratch paper to write as many phrases as you can down. Them make them collate to each other and relate to each other so that there is a solid beginning and ending, middle that all flows will."
