After you experimented a little bit with your chordal progressions and you've chosen your three chords for the one four five progression. What you want to do is actually play them and decide which order you want to put them. So whether you want to start with C, D, or G is up to you depends on how you want to start the song, what kind of style you are writing the song in. What your mood is going to be? If you want to add a little bit of a mysterious flare go ahead and throw in a E minor. Which will fit in the one four five progression and that will really kind of add a different taste to your song.
