"Hi, I'm Erica Lane with Expert Village talking about how to write a Christmas song on the guitar. The first thing you need to do to prepare for writing a Christmas song with your guitar is to get the right materials. You are going to need a flat surface to write on preferably a desk or a book, some hard surface. You are going to need a piece of paper (several pieces of paper) for scratch surfaces or you might make some mistakes and you might want to start over. You'll need a pen or pencil, don't use a marker because you are going to need all the room that you can get so just use a smaller ink pen or pencil. If you are not all familiar with chords you may want to actually find access to a chord chart or a guitar guide book to help you remember several different chord progressions that you can use when ever your writing your songs. Finally, of course you are going to need your guitar if you don't have your own guitar then just borrow from a friend or relative. You are only going to probably need it for a few hours in order to complete this song that you are going to write for the Christmas season."
