"Hi, I’m Faith and I’m here at Flat Fork Studio and I’m going to show you how to adhere tiles to a cement stepping stone using Liquid Nails. First you take your Liquid Nails. I use the heavy duty, construction, and remodeling adhesive. There’s also a sub-floor that I like to use because it’s very durable and water proof. The reason I’m sticking the tiles down with the Liquid Nails is just to basically tack them in place until I go back. When I’ve finished my design I’m going to come back over with a cement product. Since this is going to be exterior, I’m going to use a cement for grout. So here we go- I just put a little dab. You can either put it straight onto the piece that you’re adhering to, press down. You want to leave about no less than an eighth of an inch gap. It’s ok to have gaps, though, when you’re doing tile mosaic. The other way would be just to take the back, put a little dab of the Liquid Nails on it and then press it on. And that adheres your tiles to your piece, and when you’re done with your design, you’ll be ready and let it dry for about 8-10 hours, and you’ll be ready to come back in and grout. "
