"I am Francie DeMun and I am a tapestry artist here on behalf of Expert Village. With each of them it is the central figure that is the first thing that I make. The whole tapestry, the whole rest of the piece is built around that. Now the unicorn is the kind of an interesting one because I did the unicorn first and there he was in the middle of the canvass. I did not particularly plan if he was going to be in the woods or what was going to happen but after I did the unicorn and he was turned a certain way, I wanted him to be looking at something so I brought, very close up you can see a bird on a branch, which kind of threw the prospective but it worked really beautifully. Afterwards, I put the German village behind and it just don’t know but took a life of its own. "
