"Hi, I'm Gary for Expert Village. There's another way to narrow down our searches within Google and that is to do a search on a specific site. Let's say for example, we're looking for admissions information for a university--let's say Stamford University. We would put in the word admissions and after that we would put in the word site followed by a colon and then wwww.stamford.edu, which is the website for Stamford University. So, this will give us information on admission but only within the website that we're looking for. So, when we do our search, we see that our results are limited to Stamford University and having to do with admissions for Stamford University on their site not from any other site, and this really narrows down to exactly what we're looking for. We see that our first entry in the results page is actually all the information a website set up only for admissions and we see that we are able to narrow down our search results. Let's take another example. Let's say we're looking for the return policy from a particular store, let's say it's from the circuit city store, so we put in the website www.circuitcity.com and we see that the results that we get are all the return policies within the circuit city site and here we see the business sales terms and conditions. There are certain return policies for certain products, but if we go through it's a pretty specific search where we can find the actual document that outlines the return policy within that particular website for that store. So, it's a really convenient way to narrow down our searches."
