"To make the picture frame, we're going to be cutting the shape out of a piece of cardboard. So I'm going to first draw my shapes on the cardboard so I know where to cut. The first shape that I want to make on the cardboard is going to be the outline around the picture because I'm going to be creating a hole in the middle of the cardboard to act as like a border, a picture frame border. So I need to know the size of the hole that I need to cut. So I'm going to take an exact measurement. I'm going to trace around as close as possible to the outer edge of the picture. I'm going to make my shape the same shape as the picture, the same size. And then I'm going to go around the outside of the picture and I'm going to make a shape where I can go ahead and cut around and this will be the actual shape of the picture frame. The shape that you make is there is no right or wrong way to make the shape. I'm going to be using kind of a wavy line around the picture and that will just create a nice different shape attractive to the eye. But you can do whatever you like and once that shape is made on the cardboard, we're going to cut around it and that is basically going to be the entire shape of the picture frame. So its important to know the size of the picture first, that's why we made the outline of the picture first in the middle and then when we make the shape of the picture frame, we know exactly how wide and how narrow to make the frame because we're basing it around the size of the picture that we have already drawn in the middle. So now I've shown you how to draw on the cardboard the size of the picture and also the shape of the picture frame to get ready for cutting."
