Making a Decorative Bell: Decorate the Outside

"Now I'm going to show you how to decorate the rest of the bell. For this, we're going to be using some permanent markers and my metallic markers that I've been using. The paints we've already used to make the top layer of the cup, so we don't really need to decorate it again with paint. But, this is again optional. If you feel that you want to make it more decorative with just colors because your drawing talents are not up to par then you can definitely just use a combination of different paints. But we're going to keep it the base color and we're going to draw right on top of it. And again this is an important step, this is a decorative bell, and everything we've done today is only to make it more attractive to the eye. And make it, make it look more special and more decorative, so this is really an important step. Make sure you have enough markers on hand and enough different colors and variety that you can make a nice decoration on the outside of the bell. And again, we leave it up to your imagination. This is really the best part for kids, because they find it easier to do these steps of painting and decorating. As opposed to tying and working with the small beads. So this is how our bell looks once it's, once it's finished, has a really nice, the colors really work well, catches the eye, and the wooden beads is a nice, gives it a nice strong permanent effect to it. Not making it look like just a plain old paper cup. And it's a really fun project, a nice project that kids can also play with or hang on a wall. And you can have a lot of fun with it."
