Summary: A larger bead will serve as a weight at the end of your string of smaller beads. Learn how to make a decorative bell in this free crafts video.
"Now, I'm going to show you how to attach a large bead, that is going to go at the end of the string of smaller beads that we made. The reason why we have this bigger bead is because it gives weight to the entire string and that's going to help it, the string of beads swing back and forth much quicker and much stronger. So, this is going to be like the weight at the end of that string. So, let me show you how to tie the big bead to the end of the string. We simply run this string through the hole and we make a knot, should be a regular knot. We just want to make sure that when we close the knot, it should fall at the top of the bead. The reason for this is because we don't want to see the knot and the other beads are going to be strung onto the string and sit on top of big bead. So, the reason, the reason why we want to have it fall on the top is so that it won't be seen once the other beads are sitting on top of it. And, that's also one of the reasons why we use a fishing line, because the fishing line is clear and it also helps us, so you don't see the string wrapped around the big bead. So, again I've showed you how to take a large bead, a little bit heavier than the regular beads that we've been using and I've shown you how to run the string through and make a knot, making sure that it falls on top of the bead where the other string of beads is going to sit and this will be our weight for the entire string of beads."
