"Today I'm going to show you how to make a measuring board. This board is going to be stuck onto a wall and it's going to be used to measure height, for a small child. It's a great project, a great decoration to put in a child's room. You just put it on to, somewhere on the wall, and then they stand next to it, and they can actually measure their growth. And, it's a lot of fun, a lot of us who had it when we were growing up. So, let me show you how to do it. The supplies you are going to need are going to be a piece of plastic, flexible plastic sheet. I've chosen to use a blue one, which, which is nice when you should pick a color. And it just makes it more of a decoration. So, this piece of plastic should be cut, to be about six inches wide, and about thirty inches long. Now, you don't need the board or this sheet of plastic, you don't need it to measure the entire length, from the floor up. You only need to measure the part where, a little bit below the head or on the shoulders, and then going up, depending on, on the age of the child and how much they're going to be growing. So, you don't need the entire length, you only need to, you measure from the ground up and then you start it. You start the measuring board on the wall from a certain point. So, we'll show you the measurements later on. But for the size of the board, you need it about six inches wide and about thirty inches long. We're also going to be using some masking tape and I have some double sided tape. The double sided tape is going to be used for putting onto the back of the measuring board and then putting it onto the wall. So, we need it three double sided. I'm going to need a marker and a pencil, as well as a scissors, and possibly a, some type of knife, that you would want to use to cut the plastic to make the measuring board. I'm going to be needing a tape measure to make my measurements onto the board. And, I'm going to be using some different colored contact paper, which sticks really well to this thick sheet of plastic that we're using for our measuring board. I'm going to be cutting out some shapes and making out, making some decorations from the contact paper and putting it directly on to the measuring board. So, these are the supplies that we are going to use, to make our measuring board, for measuring height."
