"Now, let's decorate our ring toss game. For this, I'm going to be using some gift wrapping paper. There are no rules when it comes to decorating the shoe box; there's no right or wrong way to do it. As far as an arts and crafts project goes, this is also the step where you can really use your imagination, and you can prolong it; make it more fun for the kids by doing different types of decorating, from gluing to drawing. This is really something that depends on the supplies that you have available, and the imagination, and how you want to decorate it. I'm using gift wrapping paper, and I'm not going to gift warp it in one piece like a present, but I'm going to cut it up into small pieces, and then I'm going to be able to glue each of the individual pieces all along the shoe box. That will just create a different type of effect, kind of like a collage effect with different scrap pieces. This is one step that you really want to take into consideration when you're planning your project, because; depending on the amount of time that you have, it could be a very short step, or a very long step. So, if you're doing this for a school project, or for an after school project, just keep that in mind when planning it out. We're also going to be decorating the stick; the paper towel rolls that are coming out. You might want to also use the same decoration that you're decorating the shoe box with, but I always use a different type of color; a different material, because in the end, the project is much nicer when it has the contrast. But you can surely use the same decoration that you're using for the entire box when decorating the stick, as well. So, because I'm using scraps of paper, I'm just going to coat the shoe box with a layer of glue, and then it will make it easier for me to apply the small pieces all around. I prefer to use the paint brush, but if you've seen a group of small kids doing this project, you'll never see them use a paintbrush. They'll have their hands right in the glue, and they'll be having a lot of fun. Then we go ahead, and just lay the scraps of paper right on top of the shoe box; covering the whole thing. Here; we see I'm decorating the stick with tissue paper. So, we've covered the shoe box with some decorative paper, and the paper towel rolls with some tissue paper. The ring toss game will be ready to be played after we make our rings. I've shown you how to decorate the ring toss game, the shoe box, and the paper towel rolls with paper and glue."
