Summary: Use plenty of masking tape to attach your two paper towel rolls. Learn how to make a ring toss game in this free crafts video.
"The next thing we want to do is take the paper towel rolls, and attach them together. I purposely like to make a nice long stick when I do the ring toss game. That's just a matter of preference. You can even use one if you want to make a smaller game, or maybe it's easier for whatever age groups you're making this for. I'm going to put them both together, and I'm going to take some masking tape, and I'm going to put it around; where they meet. This should be enough to hold it together. If you want to, you can try to insert one into the other, but you're going to have to bend it, and sometimes it changes the shape, and makes it even less stable than you would expect. So, sometimes it's better to put them together as close as possible, and then put a nice thick piece of masking tape around. That should hold it pretty tight. Once you get a nice, thick strip going around the middle, we'll be ready to close the shoe box. We're also going to use masking tape to close the shoe box. It's important to note that depending on what kind of surface you're going to be using; if you do want to put anything inside of the shoe box to weigh it down, obviously this is the time to do it; before you close the shoe box. You might want to put a heavy solid object in there, and depending on the surface that you're going to be putting it on; it might help to keep it more stable. The truth is that it's not something that is a must in this project, because the ring toss is going to be sturdy enough. The rings that you're throwing; the little plastic tops; are not very heavy, so it's not something that's a must. You might want to if you're going to be using it outside. You might want to have something in there to weigh it down a little bit. Now we've closed the box, and we've also attached the paper towel rolls together with masking tape. Now we're ready to insert it, and start building the ring toss game."
