How to Seal the Ends of a Rain stick

"Hi, this is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village. Once you have a sound filter in your rain stick, you're going to need to seal the ends. It's very simply to do. You can use a variety of mediums, but I like to use craft paper, because again, it's more natural and it also looks more like the product I've been using. Very simply to seal the end. Take your tube, whatever it is, draw around it, and then about oh, a half an inch or so around that, you're going to draw another circle; absolutely does not have to be even at all. Cut out the larger circle. It's a little damp out here. We're having wonderful rain right now. Probably because I'm making rain sticks. Wouldn't that be nice? Then you're going to slit the outer circle up to the inner circle all the way around, plenty of slits. OK, and then you're going to take your tube, put some craft glue around the end, have your rubber band ready. Center your craft paper over your tube, crunch it down. Stick it to the glue the best you can. Probably won't all stick at once. This is why we have a rubber band handy. Once it's fairly well down on the rube, I'm going to take our rubber band and put it over it, making sure all of the little end pieces are tucked in. And when we have it secured, you leave it on until it's dry and when we take it off we have a nice sealed end to our rain stick. When we're all done, we're going to do exactly the same thing on the other end of the rain stick so that none of our product that's inside will escape. So once you're ready that's how you secure the end of your rain stick."
