"Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make a wreath or a picture frame for that very special baby’s first Christmas. To make this frame for the baby’s first Christmas, I found a Christmas ribbon that had rocking horses on it and it looked a kind of old fashioned and European. You want to take your ribbon and weave it through your wreath, starting on the backside, behind a joint. If the ribbon is wider than the holes, you just simply bend it and pull it through and if your ribbon is two-sided and one is greatly different than the other, you need to make sure that as you are doing it, flip the side that you want stays up. Weave your ribbon in and out, in and out, all the way through the wreath and when you come to the end there will be a seam, take your hot glue gun and lay a little bead of glue in there to the very end of the ribbon on it, hold it until it is cool and it is finished. If your ribbon is wider than your wreath, you might want to fold it just a little bit, it will stay securely. Once you have done that you want to embellish it. I found these wonderful buttons that looked like all kinds of baby and child things, as you can see there is a little teddy bear and a Christmas tree and reindeer and candy canes and I also found these cute little imitation light bulbs. You can also find real light bulbs, may be some of those little twinkle bulbs that you are no longer using. You are going to want to place your embellishments around on your wreath, not gluing them down, deciding where you want them to go and the balance that you want. Once you have achieved the look that you want, you are ready to secure them, you can use hot glue for this, you don’t need to use your Elmer’s glue because it will stay now that you have sealed your wreath. You can put hot glue on the back of your embellishment or right on your pretzel and stick it on and in seconds it is secured. With this one, I wanted to have a little bit more of an effect on the bottom, a kind of a 3D effect, so I made first of all just a simple little chevron out of the ribbon and secured it in the back and then I made a single loop ribbon for the top. Then the last thing you want to do is take a ribbon or wire and make something to hang your wreath, just a little loop of ribbon secured with hot glue, let it cool and you have a wreath. Now if you want to make a picture frame out of it, you can do something like this by hand or on the computer, put it behind and then just trim the edges off. You can put just a little dab of glue on your pretzel, put this where you want it to be and trim the edges off. If you leave the top of it open, there is a room to slip a picture in there and that is how you make either a wreath or a picture frame for baby’s first Christmas."
