"Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make a gift for that very wonderful postal worker / mail carrier in your life. This is really a fun wreath to make and I think a very unique and special gift for that person who works day and night, neither rain nor snow nor sleep, etc. What we did with this wreath was to take raffia and I used natural color raffia because the embellishments that I found were in the natural colors, kind of the earthy colors. Take your raffia just like you would ribbon or lace, put it through your wreath, starting in the backside, coming through to the front and weaving it through, weaving it on through until you get all the way around your wreath to the end. What I did with this raffia instead of cutting it off and gluing it on was to simply leave some of it hanging, so that it had this effect at the end. Now I used natural color raffia because I found these in the scrap booking section, they were part of actually a travel piece but they were postal. So I thought they worked very well so I used these from the scrap booking section, but you could also use actual stamps. They come in many different colors and sizes, different shapes and so what you could do is use a colored may be a red or a blue raffia to go along with the red, white and blue, just depending on the theme of the embellishments that you put on it. So once you have your raffia all the way through on both sides, then you want to place your stamps or your embellishments where you want them, just kind of lay them on until it looks like you want it to look and then go ahead and glue them on with your hot glue and then I just took some more raffia and I made another bow just like I would if I were using ribbon, cut it off to the length I want it and the size that I want it, glue it on at the top and then I used a little map, but you could put a stamp very easily over that knot in the bow for kind of a finishing touch and then I even used raffia, twisted it and made it into a loop, hot glued it on the back and there I have a very unique, very special wreath as a gift for our wonderful mail carrier who delivers our mail faithfully day in and day out.
