"Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make a picture frame for a new one. This happens to be the one I made for our grandson, but for our granddaughter it was the same except in pink. First thing you want to do is take your ribbon, I chose a gingham because it just says baby to me and weave it through your wreath starting at the back coming through and covering a joint going all the way around your wreath. If you cover your joints for one thing it helps to hide any places where the pretzel did not come together and for another thing it gives it added strength. When you get to the end of the wreath, you are going to turn it over, lay a bit of glue right down the center, put the end of your ribbon in that bit of glue and hold it until it is cool, then put the other end in and you have ribbon woven all the way through your wreath. I found wonderful, wonderful stickers in this scrap booking section of this store that said it is a boy; it is our bundle of joy. One of the biggest problems you may have when you are doing this is trying to decide which stickers to put on because there are so many available. Another idea is to take beads that have letters on them and you could really personalize it by writing the name of the newborn right on the wreath with these beads. Once you have decided what you are going to do for embellishment, you want to lay your stickers out on your wreath and play with them. Put them around, decide what order you want them, where you want them, change it until you are satisfied and once you have done that, take your sticker or your embellishment, lay some hot glue on it and place it on your wreath where you would like for it to be. You can make a very simple bow and stick it on the bottom and then you want to take a hanger of some kind usually just a little loop of ribbon will do, hot glue it and hang it on the back. To turn this into a picture frame, take a piece of poster board, put it on the back and then at the top of the poster board just cut it off. Then with hot glue or Elmer’s glue, simply glue these two corners and then you will have a picture frame that is easily accessible and that proud mommy and daddy can put a picture of their newborn baby in that picture frame and hang it in their bedroom and there we have a Newborn Picture Frame."
