"Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make a wreath for some of those people in your lives that provide those very special services. This wreath is from my hairstylist, I think she is the best in the world, and for this theme I chose a black and sliver with a little bit of white. So the first thing you want to do if you are going to do something like this and put glitter on it, the first thing you are going to do is to take your wreath and spray it with a spray adhesive and then sprinkle on your glitter, make sure that it is dry and once that is finished, then I go ahead and hit it again with another clear finish; I use clear wood finish, which is great because it works fine for the pretzel. That way your glitter is not going to come off and it will be nice and secure if she decides to hang it up in her salon. Once you have your pretzel wreath completely prepared, you want to put your ribbon through it, I always start on the backside and come through and go over a joint, put your ribbon through your wreath, all the way around and when you come to the end, you are going to secure it by laying a little bead of hot glue in the crease, holding your ribbon in there until it is cool and then putting the other end, for that you come around with and do the same thing and it is secured. I found wonderful stickers in the scrap booking section again of my local craft store and this one happened to say my first haircut but because I was not doing this for my grandson’s first haircut and I wanted to do it for Chris, and I just chose the stickers that worked for her and then I got a little piece of vinyl and made a little apron to go on here because of course they always put that little apron around you. Once you have decided what you want to put on your wreath, lay them around, arrange them the way you like, rearrange them until you are really happy with the balance of your design. Then, it is a simple matter to take your hot glue gun, take the back of your embellishment, put a bead of glue and lay it on your piece wherever you wanted it to be. Then I just made simple little bows and stuck them around and then made a looped little hanger for the back and hot glued it on. I was satisfied with my piece, so I declared it was finished. I might put something personal inside like world’s best hairdresser; I have not quite decided yet but this is how you make a wreath for that very special person in your life that performs some of those services that we just can’t live without.
