" Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and I am going to share with you this very fun buttons and bows valentine wreath. For this valentine wreath, I chose to use buttons that were only red and white and I chose a kind of traditional, a kind of frilly red and white ribbon. You can also find very specific ribbons, this one is very pretty, and it says “my favorite valentine” or you could use a solid red or a solid white. Once you choose your ribbon, you want to put it through your wreath and you need to start on the backside, weave your ribbon through, covering the joint, going to the front side, all the way through until you come all the way around. If you are using a ribbon that is definitely two-sided and one of them is the side you prefer, you need to be especially careful to keep the side up that you want to show and that was really important with this ribbon. Once you have gotten it all the way around, you can secure on the back by laying a bead of glue right in the seam, holding your ribbon on it for a few seconds until it is cool, doing it to the other end and you are ready to go. You can also leave your ribbon hang and put it at an angle and when you come all the way around again, put also this one at an angle and then you have this effect coming off from the backside. Once you have put your ribbon through then you need to decide how you are going to put your embellishments on. I found a packet full of buttons of all different colors and sizes, but I chose to do the red and white, you could do anything that you want with it of course, but I encourage you to lay your buttons on and play with them, lay them around, decide how you want them, get the balance in the color exactly what you want it to be and then it is very simple to either take your hot glue and put your hot glue on it and secure it or put your glue on your pretzel. Sometimes if I have an embellishment that is especially small or slippery, I will use little tweezers to hold on to it when I put the glue on the piece or on the pretzel. When you have finished that, you want to put your bow on it. In this case I made just a simple two loop bow, I mean a single loop bow and embellished it with a button and then took the same ribbon, made a little loop, hot glued it to the back and it is ready to hang very simple, charming buttons and bows valentine wreath."
