"Hi! This is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make a wreath that I call blossoms and butterflies. To begin with, I use this very spring looking ribbon with the lavender and the green and the little flowers in it. Whenever you are going to put ribbon through a wreath, you want to start from behind and go over a joint, going in and out, up and down weaving your ribbon through your wreath until you come all the way around to the other side. Once you have finished, you want to check your ribbon, make sure that the printed side is up; if it is a two-sided ribbon and then you are ready to secure it. So you are going to turn your wreath over to the back side, continue to pull your ribbon all the way through and then lay a bead of hot glue in the joint; if your ribbon is too large, you need to crunch it a little, hold it onto the seam until it is cool, clip off the excess and secure the other side and now your wreath is ready to embellish. In the scrap booking section of the craft store, I found these absolutely beautiful 3D butterflies all on a page of stickers. As you can see it has been done twice, so they are very, very effective and they really standout. Before I did that, I took a few bits and pieces of little blossoms and put them together the way I like them and I kind of like the blue and yellow because it was different than the lavender and green in the bow, and then I put them behind and up through, so that they look like they were perhaps growing out of the bottom of the wreath and then I secured it in back with hot glue. Once that was cool, and I had to hold that one a little bit longer, then I distributed the butterflies around the wreath and I highly recommend that you place your embellishments around your wreath and play with them and move them until you achieve the balance that you like. Once you do that, you take your hot glue gun and you can either put it on the back of your piece or right on your wreath, it will stick on there just fine and set it on there. With something like this, it sets up very quickly so you want to lay it on just the way you want. Then the last thing I did was to make a single loop bow out of this same ribbon and placed it on down here and then as you can see I used a little butterfly for embellishment and then I also put one down on the ribbon. Of course the very last thing you want to do is to take a piece of ribbon, make a small loop in the back and fix it, so that you can hang your piece and there we have blossoms and butterflies wreath.
