on 8/2/2008 Enjoyed your video but your Double Crochet is missing the YO in the beginning. Ive never seen a DC stitch done this way and I have been crochetting for nearly 30 years.

on 8/2/2008 very informative and i enjoyed watching all the different clips but i was wondering how someone would go about combining two different yarn colors together. for example, if i wanted half of my scarf to be black and the other half to be white or alternating, how would i combine the two different colors/yarns?

on 12/14/2008 Be warned, she is doing the double crochet and treble(triple) crochet incorrectly. She is doing a double and triple chain instead. Also, she is only doing one chain for the turn and for a double, you are supposed to chain two, and for a triple, you are supposed to chain three.

"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Now that you have your completed scarf, homemade scarf, I can show you a few ways you can wear this. The first way is to wrap it around your neck and make one side longer than the other so that you can flop it over the other piece and pull it through, which is a basic knot, but it's more like a square knot. You have this nice way to wear your scarf. Another way, is to make both side even and wrap it around your neck, you can either leave one tail in the back or bring both tails in front. And, the third way to wear your scarf is to double it over, wrap it over your neck, and pull the rail through. So, those are some ways to wear your scarf. I hope some of my tips have been helpful and enjoy crocheting your new winter gear."
