"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Now I'm going to show you what the stitches will look like using this acrylic blend yarn. Again, this is going to be a little bit narrower and less fuzzy than the acrylic yarn we were using. It's going to be very soft and a lot of times these yarns are good for making baby blankets which makes a really nice soft scarf. So, we're going to start off the same by making our slip knot, pull it through, put your hook through and pull it taught. And for this yarn I'm using a five millimeter needle and it will indicate what size you need on the package. Get a good grip on your yarn and we're going to do a chain stitch. Hook over the yarn, behind the yarn and pull it through. So this is a good medium grade yarn, it's gonna be not as thin as the cotton yarn and not as thick as the acrylic but it'll be a nice medium thickness scarf. Put your hook in front of the yarn behind the yarn and pull it through. And this is relatively easy to work with except for the thickness. It is thinner so each stitch will be small which can be difficult to work with as long as you keep track of your stitches it should be fine. This is what the stitches look like with this medium grade acrylic blend yarn."
