"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. A different kind of fringe idea that you can use is to choose a yarn that frays easily, that way you can get a fluffy kind of fringe on the end of your scarf instead of just strands of yarn. So, find one the specialty acrylic blends of yarns that frays rather easily. Because they're thick we'll just use two pieces per stitch. So, it's the same process, double it over, use your hook to go through the stitch on your scarf, hook your fringe on to the needle, pull it through to make a loop, and pull the tail end through. And then after we have all of our pieces on we can go through and fray the ends. So, I'll show you that one more time. Take your two pieces, double it over, use your hook, put the fringe on your hook, pull it through the stitch, and pull the tail end of the fringe through the loop and pull it taught. OK, and we'll have one more piece on there. Put the hook through the stitch, put the fringe on the hook, pull it through to make a loop and pull the tail end of the fringe through the loop and pull it taught. So, now that you have your fringe on here you can go through and just use your fingers to fray out the thread a little bit, and that way you'll get a nice fluffy effect going on with your fringe on your scarf. So, all you have to do is pull the pieces apart on each piece of fringe and it makes a really nice effect. Continue on with each piece and you'll get this really fluffy, fun fringe on the end of your scarf. So, that's another way to finish off your scarf in a really fun manner."
