"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. So, now you're ready to finish off your scarf once you've made it as long as you want it. And, what you're going to do, after you've finished your last row of regular stitches, be sure to remember to make your last single chain stitch, flip your piece over and you're ready to do the finishing stitch. And, that's similar to a single crochet except that you're only gonna pull the thread through once, through both loops. This is just going to give it a nice clean edge to finish off your scarf. So, you're going to put your hook through the stitch, put it in front of the yarn, behind the yarn, and pull it through both loops on your hook. So, continue on and just, it's a very simple stitch, just continue on the whole width of your scarf and you'll get this nice clean finished edge. OK, so you put your hook through the stitch, put it over the yarn and pull it through both loops, so it's just one single movement. OK, so that's the finishing stitch, and when you get to the end you're going to want to cut the end of your yarn, pull that piece through, and pull it taught. And, that's the end of your scarf."
