"Hi, my name's Elissa with ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. So, now that I've shown you the single crochet and the double crochet I'm going to teach you how to do a triple crochet stitch. And, essentially this is just going to be a longer stitch even still than the double crochet. So, you've got your next row ready to go, get a good grip on your yarn. You're going to put your hook through the first double stitch that I just did, pull your yarn through once. OK, and now you can start counting, pull your thread through one time, two times, and then on the third time pull it through both loops and that's one triple crochet stitch. So, I'll show you that again. Push your needle through the stitch, pull your yarn through, one, two, and three. So, you're making a really long stitch here and again that's going to make it even quicker to make a scarf, if you use the triple stitch, because you'll get more done in fewer stitches. OK, so just pull your thread through, count one, two, three, and just keep going down the whole width of your scarf. This is a really great stitch if you want to make a scarf that maybe has larger holes in it, it's a little more crafty looking, and it's going to give it a lot of texture and visual interest. One, two, three, so just keep stitching all the way down. Once you get the hang of it it's going to go really quickly. One, two, three. One, two, three. And again, you want to keep your index finger on that first loop so that you don't accidentally pull your thread through. OK, so that's the last stitch and don't forget to do your single chain stitch at the end so you can turn your piece around and begin on the next row. And that's the triple crochet stitch. "
