"Hi, my name's Elissa with expertvillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to crochet a scarf. Okay, now I'm going to show you how to get to your next row after you've crocheted a row of stitches. So, what you want to do is once you've done your last stitch is your basically gonna just do a single chain stitch which is just pulling the hook in front of the yarn, behind the yarn, and pulling it through. It's basically just a single chain and will give you enough slack to turn your piece around and start on your next row. Now you're ready to stitch your next row after doing the single crochet stitch. Alright, let me show you this one more time, I'm going to pull this stitch out, so I've just finished the last stitch here. You're going to pull the hook in front of the yarn, behind the yarn and pull it through. And, that's just your single chain stitch to allow you to turn your piece around and start on the next row."
