"Hi, my Ella Seltzer for Expert Village. Our next step is now to join the flower components here to the chain and we need to do that with a jump ring. Jump rings have to be handle in the right way and although it would seem obvious when we want to open up the jump ring in order to insert chain or something that we would pull it from the side this is actually incorrect. The only way to open up a jump ring is with grasping it with either side with 2 pairs of flattener pliers and moving one pair of pliers away from you and one towards you like so. So now we are going to take our jump ring and attach it to the last crystal which you just loop it around the crystal, insert it inside the crystal like so and then we take our chain. The best way to deal with a chain is to hang it downwards so we can see all the links clearly and just inserting the ring into the chain like so. Now in order to close the jump ring take your 2 pairs of flattener pliers again and you gently move either side of the jump ring back and forth in order to move back a little bit until the ends meet perfectly like this.
