" Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and on behalf of Expert Village, we are finishing up our series on using beads in card making. In this segment, we’re going to talk about how to use beads with sticker sheets or adhesive sheets. Some of you very lucky people may have a Xyron or other machine of that. If you do, you can just take your embellishment piece, your sticker, or whatever it is you’re going to be using, your die cut, and run it through Xyron and get it sticky that way. For the rest of us, these adhesive sheets, or what may be known as sticker sheets, are a great alternative. What I’m going to do is I’m just going to use this heart, and I just want to cut around the approximate size of what my heart will be. At this point, it’s harder to do the bigger the piece. With these adhesive sheets, these are double-sided adhesive, so what we want to do is peel off one side of the backing. It can get a little tricky, and then we want to secure our embellishment piece on there so that it’s got one sticky side down. The next thing we want to do is trim around it. I’m just going to trim in here a little bit more so we get that nice sharp curve. You can see that here I still have the fixing on the other side of the adhesive sheet. What I’m going to do now is peel that off. We want to pick that back. That’s going to leave us a very adhesive right here. So what you’ll want to do next is use your craft tray or the lid of one of your containers, like I’m going to here. You just want to take your beads and just pour them on there. Use your fingers to fill in the little holes. If you have small children, the clean up afterwards is great for them. Let them get down on their hands and knees and pick up the beads. They’ll think it’s great fun. Once you have that done, you can see that now we have this heart that is now multicolored with of the beads. Now it has color, it has texture, it has depth, it’s got a raised surface. So it’s a nice little embellishment, a nice touch to your cards. This can then be added to a baby’s card, as Easter card, any card of that matter. You can do this with any dye cut that you have, any paper piecing that you’ve put together. Anything like that, all you need to do is run it through your Xyron if you have one or buy these adhesive sheets at your craft store. Then put them and then dip your beads in. It’s as simple as that, inexpensive, and fun. "
