Summary: Use ribbon or cording to turn any card into a money holder gift card in this free arts and crafts video.
Elizabeth began scrapbooking in 2000 as a Close to my Heart consultant, where she taught hundreds of people how to scrapbook and make unique creations with scrapbooking tools.
" Hi! My name is Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village, this is our final clip in creating a money holder. Now we've talked previously about creating a money holder from scratch and how to add card stock to the inside of a money holder to create a little treasure pocket. With this one we are just going to use a piece of ribbon or perhaps some cording, if you have cording, just to add a little securing in placing your money. So here I have a card that was pre-made. You could also do it with a store bought card just as easily. Now what I am going to do is simply take my ribbon. I'm going to align it with the outside of my card so that it look s like an embellishment. Inside here I am just going to take it; you can tie a bow, knot, I'm just going to tie a little knot here. Pull tight and what you can with your scissors, just snip it so that it's got a diagonal edge on here, or you could leave it knotted: however you like. Then there are several ways you can do it. You can simply just add your money in here, fold it across the ribbon and close the card. Thus you have your money securely in here. You could, if you didn't want to fold it in the ribbon again, and just place it securely in there. This ribbon is going to keep it snug from falling out and there it is in that. You could similar with this card here if you wanted to just by using this cording. You can buy cording at your craft store even pre-tied like this. Oops, you can just add it right here into the card, so that it doesn't look bad. Just looks like a little cha-cha if you will. A little embellishment to this pre-purchased card. You can open it up and do the same thing. Just adding your money straight into here. This will hold it secure; keep it from falling out and there you have a simple easy money card; inexpensive and easy to make. We would appreciate you joining us here. If you would like cards made for your specifically or if you have further questions, you can contact me. The information is in my bio or e-mail me at lizziegcreation@gmail.com."
