on 8/2/2008 Elizabeth, thanks for sharing ''How to make Money Holder Card''. This will be ideal for me @ Christmas as we have many neices & nephews who will be receiving money from us this year. As they are getting older, we are finding it harder to know what they would like & we're sure they will be happy with their special cards !!!

" Hi! This is Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village, this is our 9th clip in our series of creating a money holder. In this clip we are going to continue with the assembly of our card, and we are going to move to the interior of the card. So this is the front that we assembled previously. As we open it, we are going to add our second piece with a different pattern. If you have it, if you don't, that's okay. You can use the same one, add a little adhesive and again, we are just going to layer this on the inside right, lining it up so that there is equal space on all four sides. We just want to line that up as fast as we can, then put that down. The next thing we are going to do is we are going to take this piece that we stamped earlier of a different background and texture paper. We are going to layer that onto the card stock #1 that we cut earlier. So we will just glue that down. We are going to line it up so that it is even with the bottom and the sides of this piece, which as you can see will leave approximately a quarter of an inch layer on top. To that we want to add a white strip. Just add a little more definition, a little more depth. For that we are just going to put some adhesive from the top part and then line it up. You can put as little or as much as you want. I am going to do approximately the same size: approximately ΒΌ of a inch. At this point, this is where we will be making the pockets that the money will go into. So when we do this, you want to make sure that it is not going to come out the sides or the bottom, so this is an area where you want to make sure you have plenty of adhesive. You also want to be sure that your adhesive is right up on the edge so that the money will actually fit in there nicely. We are just going to put adhesive all along the edge here, leaving it open on the top. Make sure you don't glue yourself down. You want have a pocket. On this one, you want to make sure that you got it flush with the outside edge of the card. You will notice that there is a tiny bit of room, perhaps a 1/16th of an inch on the inside, and you want that there so that your card will open and close easily. This here is your completed money holder and it is simplest for right here. You've got the pocket in which you can easily, I'm just going to use the card. I don't have a dollar bill near me but you can just put your money in there, your check, you can see there is plenty of room here for the width of the dollar bill or check to go in there or your gift card; whatever it is, little treasure you are going to put in there. That completes our simple, very basic money holder. "
