How to Assemble the Money Holder Card Pieces

" Hi! My name is Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village, this is our 8th clip in our series of making a money holder. In this clip we will actually be assembling all the pieces that we have prepared to this point. So at this point you want to take your card stock #1 which was your 7 x 8 inch piece and we are just going to fold it. Oops! Wrong way, you are going to fold up the wrong way. So that will make a 3 ½ x 8 inch card. Now I've just used my fingers to create a good piece. There are tools that you can purchase that will make a good crease for you, but my fingers work just fine. The next thing we are going to do is add a strip of the background and texture paper or pattern paper, so we are just going to put some adhesive in our corners, one in the middle and we are going to place this in here. So you want it to be lined up so that you have an even edge around all four sides. Next thing we are going to want to do is take these two smaller strips; this was our 3 ½ x 1 inch and 3 ½ by ¾ inch strips. Going to take the smaller strip; again, just a little bit of adhesive, layering it onto the black strip so that there is equal size on the top and bottom. Then we will take that and place it on our card. Now you can place that anywhere. I want to do just a little bit higher than half-way up the card, so about right there. Then I am going to take the image that we stamped with the inked sides, just going to put the adhesive on that, layer that on the 2 x 2 black piece of card stock. You can see that that ink just makes it puff out a little; just gives it a little more depth and then we will add this. We are just going to place this right on top here. That is how we will assemble the front of the card, so that it looks like this. "
