Elizabeth began scrapbooking in 2000 as a Close to my Heart consultant, where she taught hundreds of people how to scrapbook and make unique creations with scrapbooking tools.
" Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and on behalf of Expert Village, this is our 6th clip in our series of creating a money holder. In this clip we will be stamping some images on our papers that we have already cut and inking some of the papers to add some little depth. So what we will do first is we are going to take this 1 ¾ x 1 ¾ square piece of white card stock that we have. On this, I want to stamp this birthday cake. So I am going to take it, and when you stamp it up you want to make sure you are getting good inked coverage on here, and you will be able to see that as you look. When you stamp, be sure to stamp straight down, apply firm pressure and then take straight up. If you don't, then your image will blur and that will cause you with unhappy stamping images. As you can see, this one was stamped clearly. The next thing we are going to do with this sheet is we are going to take our other color of ink, let me just open that up and we are going to add a little color around the edges of this card. How we are going to do that is just by taking it, and I am just going to brush it along the inked pad, like this. As we do that, you will see that it just adds a little color around the edge, as which it may not seem like much, but makes a big difference in your final product, so that one is good. Next one we are going to do is on this black sheet, so for that I am going to take this Happy Birthday stamp here, and I am going to put it on another one of my blocks and show you another cool trick with using acrylic stamps. Oops! Let me get it to stick on there. For this one I want to use the redder stamp. This is a vineyard berry colored stamp, and you can see that I am just inking up one side of the stamp. That is what the acrylic block allows me to do is see which one, so I am just going to ink up the one word that says Happy. I am going to place it right here, in what I believe to be the middle of my sheet, and then I am going to clean this off really quick. I am using a stamped cleaner, but you can use anything. Now I am going to color the Birthday part, so that is the part that is inked up. Then I will apply that right below the Happy. As you can see I've taken what was just one long stamp and given it the depth I want, the top on bottom. "
