Summary: Using a Fiskars paper trimmer to make a money holder card in this free arts and crafts video.
Elizabeth began scrapbooking in 2000 as a Close to my Heart consultant, where she taught hundreds of people how to scrapbook and make unique creations with scrapbooking tools.
" Hi! This Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village, this is our 3rd clip in a series of making a money holder. In this clip we are going to be talking about your cutting tools and instruments. Now right here I have what is called a Fiscars paper trimmer. This curves out and has an arm that extends so that you can fit a full 12 x 12 sheet of paper on here. It has this arm that lifts such that you can put your papers inside and then close it and this is the guide that cuts the paper. Now this is an older model, and if you have this older model, that's still great. This is the new and improved version that has more lines for you to use. This older model again has the arm that extends and the same guide cutting mechanism. A little tip for using this one if you can't see these lines, if you take a light colored chalk and just kind of put it in there, it makes it more visible for those of us who may have eye problem. Another cutting tool that you may have is a rotary cutter. That is a great tool to use. It's a little heavier and bulkier and that is why I prefer this system or perhaps a paper cutter with the old fashioned arms. I don't recommend that kind of paper cutter, because it has a tendency not to make straight edges, which are very important in making your card making. The other paper cutter is the old fashioned scissors. Great for little detail item; I do not recommend using scissors when cutting the card stock of other pattern papers used to make your card. "
