Elizabeth began scrapbooking in 2000 as a Close to my Heart consultant, where she taught hundreds of people how to scrapbook and make unique creations with scrapbooking tools.
" Hi! My name is Elizabeth, and on behalf of Expert Village, we’re moving forward in our series of how to use beads in your card making. In this segment, we’ll talk about the tools that you need to make a shaker card. For that, let’s talk about the tools we’ll be using. To start with, we’ll have some cardstock and some patterned paper. You want these to be coordinating with what you do. This is an 8 ½ x 11 piece of cardstock, which we will be cutting to make it a card. Then a patterned paper, this is a 12 x 12 size, but 8 ½ x 11 or any scraps you have will work as well. In this card we will also be using a sticker, a bubble sticker. This will be placed in our shaker. The other things you will need are a pair of scissors. This will be used for cutting the foam tape, which is our next item. Foam tape. If you have foam squares, you can use them and line them up, but you will see that using the foam tape is a more cost effective and secure way of making your shaker. In addition, you also will need your paper cutter, obviously, to cut the papers and the cardstocks to make the card that we will be using. And finally, you will need your beads to make the shaker. I will be using today some small making memories beads in teal, as well as some very tiny seed beads that I have put in this container so that they’re not all over the place. So those are the tools that we will be using to make our shaker card. "
