So many money holder gift cards are just thick folded pieces of paper without any ingenuity. Such cards are mass produced and really have less "personality" than those made at home by the one who is giving the card. Making your own gift card at home will not only give you an excellent opportunity for self expression but will also allow a personal aspect for whoever will be receiving your gift card. If you would like to learn how to make a money holder gift card from scratch or turn any existing card into a money holder, learn from one of our experts.
In this free online video series learn from card-making and scrap-booking expert Elizabeth Nell. Watch these instructional videos and learn what materials you will need; how to use a paper trimmer; how use ink-stamps; how to use adhesives, assemble the card stock pieces and embellish your money holder gift card.
" Hi! My name is Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village, I am here today in this series of clips to talk to you about money holders. Now this is a very standard basic money holder, and money holders are the perfect gift for the person who has everything or that particular person that you are not sure to get for when you just don’t have the time to go out to the store. This is the standard greeting card which, when opened, shows a little treasure pocket where you can put your money, your check, your gift card or whatever little treasure you want in there. With this today, we will be using three different colors of card stock, some background and texture pattern papers and two to three different patterns, as well as some stamps and some inks and some other things to embellish it and snazzy it up a little bit. I will show you how to make the basic card and then at the end of the clips, we will show you some ways to embellish with eyelets, wires and things of that nature. "
