"Hi! My name is Elton Hall and I'm from Texas State Optical in Austin, Texas. I’m here on behalf of Expert Village, and I'm going to show you how to insert and remove contact lenses. When using your contact lenses, safety is always first. What you want to do is you want to make sure that your hands are clean at all times. You can actually irritate your eyes if your hands aren't clean. It'll burn. It's uncomfortable. Make sure that you wash your hands at all times. Keep them clean. Make sure if you have any problems or if you feel like you are irritating your eye, stop it at that time. Try not to put the contact lens in. Make sure you give your eye a rest maybe like a day or so, kind of depending on yourself. You would know. If you feel that you are irritating your eye and it's uncomfortable, you may want to go to the doctor depending on the severity of it. For each person it's a little different, but you want to make sure that safety is first, and make sure that you clean your hands at all times. The best soap to use is a non-antibacterial soap, no fragrance soap. It kind of just depends. If you do have fragrance soap, you want to make sure that you wash your hand directly afterwards. Just run it under the water a little bit longer, but try not to use any antibacterial soap. It'll work with the contact lenses a lot better. If you feel that you are irritating your eye a little bit or if you feel that your eye is irritated more so. If you think that you may have scratched your eye, you want to make sure that you go to your doctor to have them check it out. Just make sure that your hands are clean. No antibacterial soap works a lot better, and you can go from there."
