"So now, we need to cut one strip 2 1/2 by 5 inches long. So we find our 5 inches mark, which is right here. And I always allow a little bit so I can cut it all the way around and make sure that I got it cut right. You hold your ruler with your fingers. Put your little finger off the edge so it won't slip on you. You take your rotary cutter and just cut down this side. And I didn't cut that one good. Sometimes you will have to cut backwards to get all of it cut good if your fabric slips on you. Then we cut across. We remove our little scraps before we cut our, before we remove our ruler and make sure we have the width cut that we need. We turn our ruler around. Put 5 inches on the edge where we just cut and 2 1/2 on this edge and the we can cut the other 2 cuts and that way we know that our cut is even. Move your fabric. Cut across this end to make sure that you got everything cut good. Remove you little scraps, to make sure, before you move your ruler. There is your first strip that you cut."
